Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced Engineering Configuration Manager for a major aerospace client in Buckinghamshire. The role focuses on developing and implementing configuration management plans across engineering teams, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate configuration data.

A strong Defence/Aerospace background and SC clearance are preferred. You will coordinate activities, conduct audits, and guide teams on CM tools and procedures while supporting project scheduling and resource

Qualifications

• A strong background in configuration management within the Defence, Aerospace, Engineering, Automotive or Manufacturing industry.
• Experience controlling product data, engineering changes, configuration baselines, BOMs, documentation, software and hardware records throughout the product lifecycle
• PLM systems and Product Data Management experience
• Excellent understanding of engineering processes and project life cycles

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing configuration management plans and processes.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practises.
• Coordinating configuration management activities across various engineering teams.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date configuration documentation.
• Conducting audits and reviews to verify configuration status and integrity.
• Collaborating with project managers to support scheduling and resource allocation.
• Providing training and guidance on configuration management tools and procedures.
