Job summary

VIQU IT invites applications for a SC Cleared Server Engineer role in Central London. You will maintain enterprise Windows Server environments, automate tasks with PowerShell, and manage VMware vSphere infrastructure as part of a secure enterprise team.

The role requires active SC clearance, experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and strong scripting skills. Hybrid onsite presence in Central London is expected.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance is required.
• Proven experience as Server Engineer or Windows Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong Windows Server administration in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and decommissioning physical and virtual servers.
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills essential.
• VMware vSphere administration experience; Hyper-V knowledge beneficial.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Windows Server patch management and security hardening experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, deploy, maintain, and decommission Windows Servers.
• Manage Windows Server environments ensuring high availability, security and performance.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate server administration.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Support VMware vSphere infrastructure (Hyper-V experience considered).
• Perform Windows Server patching, upgrades and vulnerability remediation.
• Investigate and resolve server incidents with root cause analysis.
• Support infrastructure projects including migrations and server refreshes.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation within ITIL processes.
• Participate in on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours maintenance.
