Job summary

Copello Global Ltd in the UK is seeking an experienced engineering leader to take a next-generation product from early research through delivery. You will lead a group of subject matter experts and own the technical plan and the product roadmap.

You will mentor engineers, de-risk key technologies, build plans and schedules, and work with sales to shape the business case. A clear route into Engineering Manager awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• An engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five years of technical development experience.
• Demonstrable experience of leading a technical team.
• Background in systems engineering or systems integration on radar, surveillance or similar complex products.
• Confidence communicating in writing and in person with customers and end users.

Responsibilities

• Lead subject matter experts in defining the product vision and the technical solution.
• Research and de-risk key technology areas with a future architecture view.
• Build the plan, team structure, estimates, schedule and risk register for the new product.
• Collaborate with sales and BD to shape the business case and product roadmap.
• Guide multidisciplinary development through to launch and delivery.
• Identify and document the company's intellectual property.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop senior ones.
• Track delivery against plan, milestones and unit cost targets.
