Job summary

TrinIT Talent is seeking a SC Cleared Senior Storage Engineer for a central London contract. The role involves Isilon, Pure Storage, Dell EMC and PowerShell work, with a monthly 24x7 on-call rota and on-call remuneration.

You will run morning checks, join meetings, diagnose capacity/performance issues, raise vendor tickets and mentor junior engineers as part of a dynamic storage team.

Qualifications

• Experience with NAS administration and migrations.
• Strong hands-on Isilon, VPLEX, Unity and VxRail skills.
• Proficient in Pure Storage administration and data protection tools.
• Experience with Commvault/Cohesity maintenance and support.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Run daily morning checks and report at operations meeting.
• Attend weekly technical and ticket meetings plus the capacity forum.
• Investigate hardware alerts, capacity and performance issues.
• Process tickets through to root cause and raise vendor support.
• Develop PowerShell automation to simplify operations.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in the monthly 24x7 on-call rota and note on-call compensation.

SC Cleared Senior Storage Engineer - Central London - Isilon, Pure Storage, Dell EMC, PowerShell

TrinIT Talent are looking for a SC Cleared Senior Storage Engineer to come on board for a 6 month contract based in central London (50% on site). This role falls In Scope of IR35 and is paying £500 per day.

Job Description

Day to day you'll run the morning checks and report into the operations morning meeting. You'll also attend the weekly technical and ticket meetings and the capacity forum. You'll dig into hardware alerts, capacity and performance issues, work problem tickets through to root cause, and raise support cases with vendors. There's a good amount of PowerShell automation to make the estate easier to run. You'll also mentor junior engineers. The role includes a monthly 24x7 on-call rota, and out of hours work is paid.
