Job summary

Stott and May Inc. is seeking a Security Infrastructure Engineer (SC cleared) to design, deploy, and maintain security tools across cloud and on‑prem environments. The role is Surrey-based with 1–2 weeks on-site per month and international travel likely, ensuring collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

You will configure networks, containers, VMs, and storage while aligning with evidence-based security practices. Relocation or commuting flexibility may be required to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• SC clearance is required and current UK clearance is preferred.
• Experience designing and configuring secure infrastructure.
• Experience deploying containers and VMs in cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge and ability to identify normal vs abnormal traffic.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, configuration, and deployment of security tools.
• Specify infrastructure requirements including compute, storage, and network bandwidth.
• Support cloud hosting, containers, and on-premises VM and container deployments.
• Configure network security devices, routers, switches, VLANs, DNS, and identity management.
• Integrate security tools with identity management solutions.
• Develop test procedures to verify functional and non-functional requirements.
• Research and test new technologies, adapting to unfamiliar tools and environments.
• Act as a technical SME across deployment and configuration activities.
• Engage with client stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly.
