The role covers safety engineering activities across the project lifecycle, including safety assurance, hazard analysis, risk management and safety documentation to ensure safe and compliant delivery. Qualifications

• Experience in safety engineering within regulated environments.
• Knowledge of safety case development and safety assurance processes.
• Ability to identify, analyze and mitigate safety hazards and risks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the generation and maintenance of safety requirements and documentation.
• Assist in developing and managing safety artefacts and safety cases for equipment and subsystems.
• Identify, collect, analyse, and evaluate technical safety data to support decisions.
• Contribute to risk management activities across projects and programmes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to capture and implement safety requirements.
• Support hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation activities.
• Assist with safety testing, verification, validation, and evaluation activities.
• Address safety considerations across through-life support, maintenance and operation.
• Contribute to technical assurance activities within safety discipline.
• Support equipment disposal and decommissioning from a safety perspective.
• Prepare technical recommendations and reports on safety engineering matters.
• Ensure compliance with safety legislation, standards, policies and engineering practices.
