Job summary

Evodia Limited in Bath/Bristol area seeks a Contract Safety Engineer with SC clearance to support a defence client. Hybrid role with 3–4 days onsite at Bristol Abbeywood, ASAP start, contract to 31 March 2027.

Day rate up to £570 (inside IR35) per day, offering exposure to safety governance and through-life risk management on highly regulated projects. You will generate safety requirements, assess technical safety data, ensure compliance with legislation and standards, and contribute to safety

Qualifications

• SC clearance or eligibility for security clearance.
• Experience in a regulated defence/aerospace environment.
• Knowledge of safety policy, governance, and assurance.

Responsibilities

• Generate safety requirements for subsystems with lifecycle costs.
• Assess technical safety data to support documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety legislation and standards.
• Contribute to risk management at project/program level.
• Support safety artefacts, safety cases, and system safety assurance.
• Collaborate with subsystems teams on safety requirements.
• Support verification, validation, and evaluation of system safety.
• Assist through-life safety decisions and disposals.
• Draft safety recommendations aligned with expertise.
