Searchability in Bristol is seeking a Python Engineer / Data Engineer with active SC clearance for their public sector projects. The role is hybrid and hands-on, focusing on Python development, data pipelines, and cloud technologies across AWS/Azure/GCP.

You'll build data platforms, develop Python-based services, and contribute to CI/CD workflows, testing, and IaC with Terraform. Collaboration with data specialists and client stakeholders is key.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python developer with hands-on experience.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Version control with Git.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and practices.
• Commercial SQL experience and data handling.
• ETL/ELT data pipelines and data transformation.
• Testing: unit and integration, data quality testing.
• Awareness or experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Active SC Clearance required to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based applications and data solutions.
• Build and support data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Apply software engineering practices including Git and CI/CD.
• Support cloud infrastructure and IaC tooling like Terraform.
• Work with databases and SQL for data access.
• Ensure data quality, cleansing, and standardisation.
