Job summary

Arm is seeking an Operations Manager with active SC clearance to lead a critical project in the Bristol area. The role is a 6-month engagement requiring hands-on delivery with a strong focus on governance, safety, and value delivery.

The successful candidate will develop and execute an acquisition strategy, coordinate stakeholders, oversee testing and trials, manage contracts and budgets, and ensure compliance across procurement, logistics, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance is required for the role.
• MOD experience is a plus and advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an acquisition strategy aligned with Approval requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
• Oversee the planning and execution of tactical development firing trials, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Manage the procurement of equipment and services required for the project.
• Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure the timely delivery of equipment and resources.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring adherence to terms and performance standards.
• Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of documentation for Approval.
• Monitor and report on project progress to senior management and stakeholders.
• Address and resolve any issues or delays impacting project timelines.
• Ensure quality assurance and control measures are in place for all deliverables.
• Support the development of training and operational procedures for end-users.
• Manage and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the project.
• Coordinate with legal and procurement teams to ensure contract compliance.
• Oversee the integration of new systems or equipment into existing infrastructure.
• Conduct post-trial evaluations and implement lessons learned for future projects.
