Job summary

NCA is seeking a Network Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 12-month hybrid contract based in Stratford. You will design, implement and maintain secure network infrastructure, configure and optimise firewall environments (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, FortiGate) and manage secure configurations with strong routing and VLAN skills.

Essential requirements include Active SC Clearance and experience with secure network devices, from Palo Alto to FortiGate firewalls, plus familiarity with VLANs, Port-Channels and

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance required.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and FortiGate firewalls.
• Experience configuring VLANs, Port-Channels and L3 routing (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure.
• Configure, support, and optimise enterprise firewall environments.
• Manage secure configurations and ensure security standards.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, Port-Channels and routing protocols.
• Perform security hardening, patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation.
• Create and maintain network access control policies and firewall rules with remote support tools.
