Job summary

NCA is seeking a Network Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 12-month hybrid contract based in Stratford. You will design, implement and maintain secure network infrastructure, configure and optimise firewall environments (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, FortiGate) and manage secure configurations with strong routing and VLAN skills.

Job description

On behalf of NCA, we are looking for a Network Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 12 Month contract based Hybrid is Stratford.

As a Network Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure solutions that meet business and operational requirements.
• Configure, support, and optimise enterprise firewall environments, including Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and FortiGate technologies.
• Manage and maintain secure network configurations, ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, Port-Channels, and Layer 3 routing protocols including RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Perform infrastructure security hardening activities, including patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and system enhancements.
• Create, implement, and maintain network access control policies and firewall rules, while using remote support tools to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues.

PLEASE NOTE: SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
