Job summary

Lorien is seeking a Senior Network Engineer on a 6‑month contract with 50% on-site in London. You will operate within a large-scale enterprise, maintaining and enhancing network services, and driving automation initiatives to boost efficiency, resilience, and service reliability.

Role requires strong routing and switching skills, Cisco Nexus/UCS experience, F5 and Check Point expertise, and scripting with Python/Ansible/Terraform. ITIL familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Senior Network Engineer with extensive enterprise networking experience.
• CCNP or equivalent networking certification required.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and UCS environments.
• F5 load balancer and DNS; Check Point firewall knowledge.
• Strong routing and switching expertise with network security focus.
• Scripting/automation using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and problems.
• Deliver network upgrades, enhancements, and project-based changes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams.
• Drive automation (IaC) to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement.
