Searchability is seeking a Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot) in Gloucester on a permanent, hybrid basis. You will work on mission-critical data-processing software for National Security and Defence sectors, leveraging Java/Spring Boot and Big Data tools.

The role requires active SC clearance with DV eligibility and involves collaboration across engineering, data, and SRE teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Active SC clearance with DV eligibility required.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Experience with Big Data / Data Engineering.
• Knowledge of Hadoop and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle for scalable software in sensitive environments.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Data Engineers, SREs and Product teams.
• Troubleshoot, monitor and support production systems.
