Job summary

Confidential technology organisation in Cheltenham/Gloucester is seeking experienced Java Developers for national security projects. You will work in a hands-on agile environment, delivering complex software and large-scale applications for national security and government clients.

The role emphasizes modern Java frameworks, Spring Boot and microservices, plus CI/CD practices. DV clearance is required, with projects offering challenging opportunities and clear career progression.

Qualifications

Strong Java development experience with modern frameworks.
Experience with REST APIs and microservices.
Experience in Agile environments and CI/CD.
Active UKIC / DV clearance required.

Responsibilities

Designing and developing complex multi-tier applications.
Developing client and server-side software.
Working with Java and modern open-source technologies.
Building scalable and resilient applications.
Taking ownership of software components from development through to implementation.
Writing unit and automated tests.
Supporting applications through transition into live service.
Working collaboratively within Agile delivery teams.
Contributing to technical design and engineering decisions.
