Job summary

GIOS Technology Limited seeks a Java Engineer to join our Telford, UK team, with 2-3 days onsite per week. You will design and implement robust data integration solutions, build and operate data pipelines, and work closely with product teams to meet non-functional requirements around cost, performance and security.

The role involves strong data, API and batch experience in a DevOps environment, with opportunities to mentor colleagues and participate in agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Experience across the delivery life cycle with ability to operate at all stages.
• Strong data, API and batch support in a DevOps environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data integration solutions (batch/near real time).
• Build, operate and improve data pipelines with monitoring, alerting and SLAs.
• Collaborate with product teams and client stakeholders to refine requirements and align decisions to NFRs (cost, performance, security).
• Support incident resolution and ensure service continuity during business hours.
• Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and contribute to engineering communities of practice.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and work cross-functionally with engineers, analysts and business teams.
