Job summary

Octopus Computer Associates is seeking an Enterprise Data Enablement Architect with current SC clearance for a hybrid role based in Telford and remote work options. The position focuses on defining and governing data architecture across a complex enterprise, aligning data solutions with enterprise standards and business outcomes.

Responsibilities include building data architecture standards, governance, roadmapping, and stakeholder engagement across cloud, on-premise and SaaS platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise data architecture within complex organisations.
• Ability to understand large-scale IT and data estates spanning on-premise, cloud and SaaS.
• Experience assessing impact of change across enterprise applications and data landscapes.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, particularly AWS and Azure.
• Understanding of data management concepts including data fabric, data virtualization, metadata management, data integration and governance.
• Proven experience of architecture governance and design assurance processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience working across multiple delivery teams, suppliers and business functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, own and maintain enterprise data architecture standards.
• Ensure data architecture aligns with organisational policies and delivery methodologies.
• Develop strategic roadmaps for data platforms and data products.
• Engage with Data Platform Services, enterprise architects and stakeholders.
• Support architecture governance processes and controls.
• Provide architecture assurance throughout delivery lifecycles.
• Mentor and support architects, engineers and technical teams.
• Promote best practices and continuous improvement.
