Job summary

Experis IT in the United Kingdom seeks a Data Architect to lead enterprise data architecture across cloud, on-premises and data governance, aligning with strategic roadmaps and governance standards.

You will collaborate with platform teams, programme managers and security to drive data fabric, metadata management and governance initiatives while mentoring teams and shaping design authorities. Role is based in Telford with two onsite days weekly and SC clearance transfer arrangements.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise data architecture within complex organisations.
• Ability to rapidly understand large-scale IT and data estates spanning on-premise, cloud and SaaS environments.
• Experience assessing and managing the impact of change across enterprise application and data landscapes.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, particularly AWS and Azure.
• Understanding of data management concepts, including data fabric, data virtualisation, metadata management, data integration and governance.
• Proven experience of architecture governance and design assurance processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience working across multiple delivery teams, suppliers and business functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, own and maintain enterprise data architecture standards and patterns.
• Ensure data architecture aligns with governance frameworks and delivery methodologies.
• Support evolution of data capabilities including metadata management and data fabric.
• Review designs for compliance with architecture standards and provide assurance.
• Develop strategic roadmaps for data platforms and data products.
• Engage with stakeholders across data platform services, architects and business units.
• Develop artefacts and governance processes for change programs.
• Mentor architects and engineers and promote best practices.
