Job summary

Matchtech seeks an Enterprise Architect to lead digital engineering and software engineering activities across sensitive MoD and aerospace programmes. The role focuses on integrating a Software Factory within a Digital Engineering environment, enabling secure, compliant delivery across the lifecycle, including Digital Thread and Digital Twin outcomes.

Qualifications

Experience in enterprise/solutions architecture within defence/aerospace environments.
Knowledge of architecture frameworks (TOGAF/ArchiMate) and their practical application.
Proven ability to design software development environments across the lifecycle.
Strong stakeholder management with diverse delivery teams and suppliers.
Security by design principles and governance experience are essential.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD).
Provide technical architecture leadership across people, process, and technology (Software Engineering).
Integrate Software Factory capabilities within the Digital Engineering environment.
Support architecture governance, security, and compliant delivery.
Translate policies and risk requirements into solution design standards and frameworks.
Lead RFIs and RFQs and support supplier engagement.
Drive reuse, best practice, and continuous improvement across value streams.
Communicate architectural vision, progress, risks and obligations to stakeholders.
