Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an Enterprise Architect to support digital engineering and software engineering for sensitive MoD and aerospace programmes. The role focuses on integrating a Software Factory within a broader Digital Engineering environment to enable secure, compliant delivery across the lifecycle.

You will lead architectural design and governance, manage stakeholders, and drive reuse and continuous improvement across value streams while ensuring Secure by Design principles are applied.

Qualifications

• Active SC clearance is mandatory.
• 5+ years in Enterprise/Business Architecture.
• Defence/aerospace delivery experience.
• TOGAF / ArchiMate exposure (or equivalent).
• Experience architecting software development environments across the lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder management with multiple teams and suppliers.
• Degree in Computer Science / Engineering / IT.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD).
• Provide architecture leadership across people, process, and technology.
• Integrate Software Factory capabilities into the Digital Engineering environment.
• Support governance, security, compliance and Secure by Design principles.
• Translate policies and risk requirements into design standards and frameworks.
• Lead RFIs and RFQs and support supplier engagement.
• Drive reuse, best practice, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Communicate architectural vision, progress, risks and obligations to stakeholders.
