Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence seeks an experienced Delivery Manager to lead the planning and execution of Digital Engineering capability demonstrations. You will showcase Digital Thread integration and enterprise interoperability to customers and senior stakeholders, driving acceptance of new engineering solutions.

Active SC clearance and UK sole national eligibility are required; the role is Reading-based with 2 onsite days per week, paying up to £900 per day inside IR35 for an initial 6-month

• Proven delivery management of complex Digital Engineering capability demonstrations.

• Experience managing multiple technical and business stakeholders across large programmes.
• Customer-facing demonstrations, pilots, proofs of concept or capability showcases.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication, with senior leadership influence.

SC Cleared Delivery Manager - Capability Demonstration | Digital Engineering | Up to £900 per day Inside IR35

We're seeking an experienced SC Cleared Delivery Manager - Capability Demonstration to lead the planning, execution and continuous improvement of Digital Engineering capability demonstrations within a major Digital Engineering transformation programme.

This role will showcase Digital Engineering capabilities, Digital Thread integration and enterprise interoperability to customers, partners, suppliers and senior stakeholders. You'll drive innovative demonstrations that validate technical solutions, prove integration across complex toolchains, and build confidence in the Digital Engineering ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of Digital Engineering capability demonstrations.
• Design and execute demonstrations showcasing Digital Thread integration, interoperability and end-to-end engineering workflows.
• Validate technical solutions, integration approaches and interoperability across complex environments.
• Collaborate with engineering capability teams and Digital Engineering stakeholders to align demonstrations with business and technical objectives.
• Promote innovation and the adoption of emerging Digital Engineering technologies.
• Develop compelling demonstration narratives that clearly communicate business value and technical capability.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, technology and business functions.
• Capture feedback from demonstrations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate outcomes and recommendations to senior leadership, customers and programme stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering complex Digital Engineering, transformation or capability demonstration programmes.
• Strong understanding of Digital Engineering, Digital Thread and systems integration concepts.
• Experience managing multiple technical and business stakeholders across large-scale programmes.
• Demonstrable track record delivering customer-facing demonstrations, pilots, proofs of concept or capability showcases.
• Strong delivery management experience within complex engineering or technology environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.
• Strong planning, risk management and governance capabilities.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused messaging.

Desirable Experience

• Defence sector experience.
• Consultancy background delivering large-scale transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of MBSE, Systems Engineering or PLM environments.
• Experience within Digital Engineering transformation programmes.
• Exposure to Agile or SAFe delivery environments.

Security Requirements

• Active SC Security Clearance is essential.
• UK Sole National is essential.

Contract Details

• Rate: Up to £900 per day
• Duration: Initial 6-month contract
• Engagement: Inside IR35
• Location: Reading (2 days per week onsite)
