Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to support a programme transitioning from legacy Military Medical Solutions to a cloud-based ecosystem.

The role requires SC clearance, engagement with the Lead Architect and Programme Manager, and work across Corsham and other UK locations. You will document AS-IS and TO-BE architectures, develop high level designs, interfaces, and risk documents, and guide deployment of Microsoft private cloud, Hyper-V, and VM environments, while

Qualifications

• An understanding of IT security standards and associated design considerations.
• Strong documentation and client-facing presentation skills.
• In-depth Windows Server, Desktop and migration skills across all operating system versions.
• In-depth Knowledge of Microsoft Private Cloud, System Centre 2012 suite and Hyper-V virtualization deployment, migration and support.
• Knowledge of SAN storage technologies.
• Experience with Virtual environments (Citrix, Xen, VMware, Microsoft Intune etc.) and Virtual Centre deployment and support.
• In-depth Knowledge of Containerisation Technologies and Deployment Models.
• Minimum of 5 years Infrastructure Architect experience
• Minimum of 5 years working in multi-disciplinary IT architecture teams.

Responsibilities

• For each Theme provide Technical Documents describing AS-IS and TO-BE environments.
• Develop High Level Design Documents and Interface Documents with 3rd Party Apps.
• Document Risk Management and migration strategies.
• Coordinate with Lead Architect and Programme Manager.
• Ensure architecture documentation across environments is current and accurate.
