Job summary

IO Associates is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a technology-focused manufacturing environment in Romsey, with SC clearance highly preferred. The role focuses on Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and problem solving to improve production processes, quality and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics or related engineering.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt qualification.
• Strong computer literacy and confidence using engineering and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive the optimisation of manufacturing and supporting processes to improve productivity, reduce cost, shorten lead times and enhance quality.
• Lead structured problem-solving activities using PSP, 8D, RCA and DMAIC.
• Identify, lead and facilitate Lean Manufacturing and CI projects with clear updates on progress and outcomes.
• Identify and escalate risks, issues and opportunities relating to processes and delivery with cross-functional teams.
• Promote a culture of CI, improving CI processes and ways of working across the organisation.
• Support PFMEA, 5S and Asset Care programmes across operations.
• Assist Supply Chain improvement initiatives and broader operational efficiency programmes.
• Provide technical support to Production across assembly and testing of electronic and hardware products.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and product issues, identifying root causes and sustainable solutions.
• Investigate and resolve product non-conformances with root-cause and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver significant manufacturing improvements.
