Job summary

ALPLA Group is seeking a Packing Operative for our Mansfield site in the East Midlands. This role involves ensuring that products are packed to specification, maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and adhering to health and safety practices.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess excellent communication skills. A competitive salary of £28,945 is offered, along with development opportunities and various benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience operating machinery or basic fault-fixing is highly advantageous.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

At our Mansfield site we currently have multiple opportunities within our production team for a Packing Operative to join us.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the product being packed meets the required specification and report any defects to supervision.
• Ensure the packaging is of an acceptable standard, removing any cartons, trays, etc. which do not meet the required specification.
• Check that each label is the correct one for the product being packed and that the date and packer number is clearly marked on each label.
• Ensure that goods are properly wrapped and report any faults immediately to supervision.
• Maintain housekeeping at the highest standard at all times.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with health and safety practice.
• Perform any other duties reasonably required by supervision that are consistent with the Main Purpose of the Job.

• Previous experience operating machinery or basic fault‑fixing is highly advantageous.

Location, Schedule & Salary

Mansfield (NG18) – 4 on, 4 off days and nights.
