Job summary

Brewers Decorator Centres in Stoke-on-Trent are looking for a Saturday Retail Sales Advisor to join our branch team and provide exceptional service to customers. The role helps keep the store running smoothly and supports sales of wallpaper, paint and fabric.

No prior product knowledge is required as full training will be provided; we value great customer service and teamwork. The position is 8 hours per week on Saturdays, with a benefits package including pension and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Approachable, open and friendly personality.
• Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required.
• Previous retail experience or product knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch to uphold Brewers' reputation.
• Use product knowledge to recommend products and assist customers.
• Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders and request stock.
• Develop sales of wallpaper, paint and fabric.
• Build relationships with customers to identify needs and offer a full service.
• Promote seasonal items and merchandise in-store to boost visibility and sales.
• Assist with stock maintenance, unload deliveries and keep the warehouse organised and safe.

Our friendly team of six has over 60 years of industry experience so are in the best position to offer advice to both seasoned professionals and novice DIYers.

The branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm.Ranked again in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026

• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, to deliver upon our reputation for quality Brewers service Use product knowledge to provide recommendations and help customers find the best product for their needs Mix paint for Customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network Developing sales of the Company product range including wallpaper, paint and fabric Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales Assisting with stock maintenance in the branch Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store Keep our Warehouse organised and safe, in line with company standards Who we are looking for to join our team:
