Job summary

European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a Space Segment Product Engineer to manage satellite communication technology and product development within ESA’s Space Segment Section. You will work with the ARTES programme lines, prepare workplans, and monitor milestones and progress in a cross-departmental environment.

The role requires a master’s degree in engineering or science and 4 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with an additional four years of experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or science is required.
• Experience in space segment technology and equipment is required.
• Knowledge of satcom space segment systems and market/business analysis.
• Contract or subcontract management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee space segment technology and product development activities for satellite communications.
• Coordinate with procurement and ARTES programme lines for implementation of activities.
• Review business cases and market assumptions for space segment development.
• Lead workplan preparation and reporting on milestones and progress.
