Job summary

Global is seeking a Software Engineer to join the SatDevEx team to build and expand a software framework for testing, deployment, and satellite software development. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, from design to deployment, in a hybrid work setup with a global engineering organization.

The role spans embedded systems to cloud pipelines, with emphasis on automation, reliability, and scalable tooling to support a large constellation of satellites.

Qualifications

• Experience building infrastructure or tools to boost developer productivity.
• Strong coding skills and familiarity with testing and observability strategies.
• Passion for automation, reliability, scalability, and elegant tooling.
• Comfort navigating complex systems and collaborating across functions.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain advanced testing frameworks for virtual and bare-metal hardware environments.
• Build and enhance an automated software update pipeline for satellites in orbit.
• Identify and eliminate friction points in the software development lifecycle with efficient tools.
• Architect and implement a next-generation satellite software framework for high performance and resiliency.
