Job summary

UL Solutions in Basingstoke is hiring a Laboratory Technician to perform hands-on SAR testing of wireless devices and to help write customer test reports. You will set up the lab, review test plans, contribute to accreditation maintenance, and ensure accurate records and timely delivery to customers.

Applicants should have an engineering-related degree and 6 months to 1 year of testing experience. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year hands-on testing experience, SAR or related testing preferred.
• HNC or a degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up the laboratory for testing.
• Review test plans prior to testing and conduct SAR tests.
• Analyze test results and assist engineers with writing reports.
• Maintain accreditation standards, records and timely customer delivery.
