Job summary

UL Solutions is hiring a Laboratory Engineer in the UK to perform hands-on testing, write customer reports and help maintain accreditation standards. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, conducting SAR tests on wireless products, reviewing test plans, analysing results and keeping records up to date to ensure timely delivery of customer projects.

Qualifications

• HNC or a Degree in a relevant subject, e.g. Engineering.
• 1–2 years of hands-on testing experience, SAR or equivalent (RF/EMC).
• Knowledge of SAR test standards: EN 50360, EN 62311, EN 50566, EN 62209-1/2/1528, EN 50383/50385, FCC SAR KDBs, IEEE1528, RSS 102.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and preparing laboratory equipment for testing.
• Performing SAR testing on a variety of wireless products.
• Reviewing test plans and supporting test execution.
• Analyzing results and assisting with technical reporting.
• Maintaining laboratory accreditation, equipment, and documentation.
• Keeping project records up to date and ensuring timely delivery of customer projects.
