Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced SAP Technical Lead to join a facilities management client in Salford on a 4-month hybrid contract. You will guide the technical integration and development of SAP solutions, including VIM and Fiori, coordinating work with developers and external partners.

You will oversee design documents, ensure SAP ECC6 updates comply, lead ABAP development, testing, and SIT, and drive timely delivery of milestones.

Responsibilities

• SAP Fiori Development Lead: Coordinate work packages with developers and partners; support ECC6 data with Fiori.
• VIM Integration Development: Design, develop ABAP objects for CAI data to OpenText VIM; implement ETL logic.
• Development Completion: Finalize ABAP developments and doc-mentation by milestones; ensure transport compliance.
• Testing Coordination: Manage unit testing for CAI/VIM/Fiori; oversee SIT, investigate defects and fixes.

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Technical Lead to join their dynamic team in the facilities management sector. This role presents an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in the technical integration and development of SAP solutions, ensuring the seamless execution of projects that drive efficiency and innovation.

As the SAP Technical Lead, you will be the technical subject matter expert (SME) responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of critical SAP solutions, including Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) and SAP Fiori applications. Your expertise will guide the development team and external partners in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the organisation's standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Coordination: Oversee the completion of Functional Specification Documents (FSD) and Functional Design Documents (FDD) in alignment with the organisation's standards. Create and manage technical work packages, ensuring logical direction for developers and external partners.
• SAP Enhancements: Ensure updates to SAP ECC6 are auditable and comply with design standards. Act as a liaison between various stakeholders, including the Enterprise Architect, SAP developers, and external partners.
• SAP Fiori Development Lead: Direct technical coordination of work packages in collaboration with developers and external partners. Support the integration of SAP ECC6 data structures with Fiori front-end applications. Lead technical triage to resolve blockers efficiently.
• VIM Integration Development: Spearhead the design, development, and testing of ABAP objects for CAI data accessibility to OpenText VIM. Implement data extraction, transformation, and validation logic for VIM processing. Coordinate integration testing and manage defect resolution related to CAI-to-VIM data flows.
• Development Completion: Finalise all approved ABAP developments and associated documentation by project milestones. Ensure compliance with development standards and transport management processes.
• Testing Coordination: Manage unit testing for CAI/VIM/Fiori, ensuring consistency and fitness for purpose. Oversee system integration testing (SIT) support, investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement approved fixes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as an SAP Technical Lead or in a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC6, VIM, and Fiori applications.
• Proficiency in ABAP development and integration processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
