Job summary

Next Ventures is seeking an experienced SAP Integration Architect for a 6-month initial contract to drive the S/4HANA transformation for a major grocery retailer. This exclusive opportunity focuses on defining the integration strategy and governance across SAP and non-SAP systems, with 99% remote working and an immediate start.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an SAP Integration Architect on enterprise-scale SAP transformation programmes.
• Strong experience delivering integrations for SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Experience with RISE with SAP is highly desirable.
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP BTP and modern API-led integration architectures.
• Strong understanding of SAP and non-SAP integration technologies, middleware and cloud integration patterns.
• Demonstrable grocery retail sector experience is essential.
• Experience through discovery, assessment and programme mobilisation phases.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end integration architecture for the S/4HANA transformation programme.
• Lead the integration workstream through discovery and planning phases.
• Design scalable, secure and resilient integration solutions across SAP and third-party platforms.
• Define integration standards, patterns and best practices for the programme.
• Work closely with functional architects, technical architects, development teams and delivery partners.
• Provide architectural guidance across APIs, middleware, event-driven integrations and cloud connectivity.
• Identify integration risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies.
• Support technical governance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and SAP best practices.
