Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead MM configuration and design across the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process during a global transformation from ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA. The position is Stevenage-based with 2–3 days on-site per week and involves collaboration with multinational Procurement teams and third-party SI partners.

The role requires extensive SAP MM expertise, experience migrating ECC to S/4HANA, and a strong business-partner approach to Procurement.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with SAP MM within ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Proven track record delivering ECC to S/4HANA migrations with issue management.
• Strong understanding of MM integration with FI, EWM, TM, and GTS.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and changes end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own MM configuration and design across the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
• Challenge custom development requests in MM, encouraging standard SAP capability when possible.
• Troubleshoot and resolve P2P issues.
• Work closely with other streams on integration topics, particularly Manufacturing and Finance.

Role details:

We are supporting a major defence client who are undergoing a global transformation programme, migrating from legacy SAP ECC6 system to SAP S/4HANA. As part of the programme, they require a Project Manager to lead on MM configuration and design across the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.

The role will involve close collaboration with the multinational Procurement team as well as third party system integrators.

In this role you can expect to:

• Own MM configuration and design across the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
• Challenge custom development requests in MM, encouraging standard SAP capability where possible.
• Troubleshoot and resolve P2P issues.
• Work closely with other streams on integration topics, in particular, Manufacturing and Finance.

What we are looking for in you:

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrable experience with both SAP ECC and S/4HANA
• Experience in ECC to S/4HANA migrations with proactive issue management
• Deep understanding of MM integration with FI, EWM, TM, and GTS
• Proven capability to manage projects and changes end-to-end
• Experience acting as a business partner to Procurement, reviewing and proposing solutions
• Ability to work within a formal change control framework

Desirable skills:

• Experience with SAP Global Trade Services
• SAP Solution Architect experience
• Experience with data migration, particularly in Procurement data (Master and Transactional)
