Job summary

Focus on SAP is seeking an experienced SAP MM Architect to lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA MM architecture across Procurement, Purchasing, Inventory and Material Management in a London hybrid setup. The role drives target-state architecture, standardisation and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.

You will mentor teams, govern solutions and influence major transformation decisions. The ideal candidate has deep experience in ECC-to-S/4HANA migrations, Fit-Gap analyses and delivering scalable,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience across SAP MM / Materials Management with architecture and solution design in SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Deep end-to-end knowledge of Procurement, Purchasing, Inventory & Material Management and Supply Chain processes.
• Proven ability to define SAP MM target-state architecture, standards and scalable enterprise solutions.
• Strong ECC-to-S/4HANA migration/brownfield transformation experience, including Fit-Gap analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end SAP S/4HANA MM architecture across Procurement, Purchasing, Inventory and Material Management.
• Define target-state architecture, design principles and functional standards aligned with SAP S/4HANA and Clean Core.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions while reducing customisation and technical debt.
• Lead procurement and supply chain process transformation, perform Fit-to-Standard/Fit-Gap analyses and drive standardisation.
• Provide architecture governance across SAP programmes, ensuring compliance with EA, security and platform standards.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP MM & Solution Architecture
  • Own the end-to-end SAP S/4HANA MM architecture across Procurement, Purchasing, Inventory Management and Material Management.
  • Define target-state architecture, design principles and functional standards, ensuring alignment with SAP S/4HANA and Clean Core.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions, maximising standard functionality while reducing customisation and technical debt.
• Procurement & Supply Chain Transformation
  • Lead the assessment, redesign and optimisation of Procurement, Inventory and Supply Chain processes.
  • Conduct Fit-to-Standard / Fit-Gap analysis, identifying process improvements and opportunities for standardisation and automation.
  • Drive process harmonisation across procurement and material management, ensuring alignment with wider business transformation objectives.
• S/4HANA Transformation & Integration
  • Provide architecture leadership across SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration and brownfield transformation.
  • Define integration requirements across SAP MM, Finance, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management and wider SAP/non-SAP applications.
  • Support master and transactional data strategy, migration, testing, deployment and operational readiness.
• Architecture Governance & Leadership
  • Provide architectural governance across SAP programmes, ensuring solutions comply with enterprise architecture, security and platform standards.
  • Lead solution design workshops and architecture reviews, working closely with Business, Functional, Technical and Integration teams.
  • Act as a senior SAP MM advisor, influencing key solution, process and transformation decisions.

Key Skills

• Extensive experience across SAP MM / Materials Management, with strong architecture and solution design expertise within SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Deep end-to-end knowledge of Procurement, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Material Management and Supply Chain processes.
• Proven experience defining SAP MM target-state architecture, standards and scalable enterprise solutions.
• Strong ECC-to-S/4HANA migration / brownfield transformation experience, including Fit-Gap analysis and mapping business requirements to SAP capabilities.
• Strong understanding of SAP Clean Core, process standardisation and reducing customisation and technical debt.
• Experience leading procurement and supply chain process transformation, including current-state assessment, future-state design and process optimisation.
• Strong understanding of integration between SAP MM, Finance, Supply Chain and Warehouse Management.
• Excellent architecture leadership, stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
