Job summary

Ventula Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance professional for a senior Operations Finance Data Lead role within a major global transformation programme in the pharmaceutical sector.

The role sits at the intersection of Operations Finance, SAP S/4HANA and Data, focusing on Product Costing, Inventory Valuation and Material Ledger to design, govern and enable future-state data for operational finance and analytics.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Operations Finance within SAP environments.
• Strong SAP knowledge with focus on Product Costing, Inventory Valuation and Material Ledger.
• Experience in large-scale ERP/transformation projects; S/4HANA experience desirable.
• Experience in pharma/life sciences or healthcare data governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead data design across Product Costing and Inventory.
• Provide SME expertise around Inventory Valuation and Material Ledger.
• Support ECC to S/4HANA transition.
• Define and embed enterprise data standards and governance.
• Assess existing data structures and harmonisation opportunities.
• Support data cleansing, enrichment and migration activities.
• Translate Finance process requirements into data requirements.
• Ensure data design supports operational reporting and analytics.
• Work across global Finance, Data & Analytics and S/4 deployment teams.
• Influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of future-state design.

I'm looking to speak with experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance professionals for a senior Operations Finance Data Lead opportunity within a major global transformation programme in the pharmaceutical sector.

This is a key role sitting at the intersection of Operations Finance, SAP S/4HANA and Data, with a particular focus on Product Costing, Inventory Valuation and Material Ledger.

You'll help shape how Operations Finance data is designed, governed and ultimately used within S/4HANA - ensuring that the future-state solution works in practice for both operational finance processes and analytics.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Leading data design across Product Costing and Inventory
• Providing SME expertise around Inventory Valuation and Material Ledger
• Supporting the transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA
• Defining and embedding enterprise data standards and governance
• Assessing existing data structures and identifying harmonisation opportunities
• Supporting data cleansing, enrichment and migration activities
• Translating Finance process requirements into robust data requirements
• Ensuring data design supports operational reporting and analytics
• Working across global Finance, Data & Analytics and S/4 deployment teams
• Influencing senior stakeholders and helping drive adoption of the future-state design

Key Skills:

• You'll have significant experience within Operations Finance, combined with strong SAP knowledge and a deep understanding of Finance data.
• In particular, you should bring strong experience across Product Costing, Inventory Valuation and Material Ledger, alongside an understanding of how these areas integrate with wider SAP processes.
• Experience working on a large-scale Finance or ERP transformation programme is important, while previous S/4HANA implementation experience would be highly desirable.
• Experience within pharma, life sciences or healthcare, as well as Data Governance and Data Quality, would also be advantageous.
• This would suit someone who can bridge the gap between Finance, Data and SAP - someone equally comfortable getting into detailed data requirements and engaging with senior stakeholders across a complex global programme.
