Job summary

Osirian Consulting is seeking an Operations Finance Data Lead for a 12-month hybrid role based in Macclesfield with preference for Macclesfield, and occasional work in Luton. The role focuses on real-world application of Operations Finance data, especially product costing and inventory data, and supports migration to S/4HANA.

You will define and document data standards, align SAP ECC data with future S/4 requirements, and drive enhancements in data design with global teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Operations finance with a data focus (Master Data, data dimensions/attributes).
• Experience with Product Costing, Inventory valuation and Material Ledger integration with SAP processes.
• Demonstrated SAP data design knowledge and ability to explain data concepts to business users.

Responsibilities

• Define and document S/4 Enterprise Data Standards and ensure alignment with SAP where possible.
• Assess holistic data concepts in the design process and support migration readiness to S/4HANA.
• Lead identification of data design enhancements and operational-level data requirements.
• Collaborate with Global Data & Analytics, EPO and wider business teams to ensure data meets requirements.

Operations Finance Data Lead

12 Months / Hybrid / Macclesfield preference / Luton / £600 PD outside IR35

Experience of assessing the “real life” application of Operations Finance (specifically in the Product Costing and Inventory space) business data design.

Key to this will be understanding the holistic data concept proposals incorporated in the design process, assisting with the definition and documentation of the S/4 Enterprise Data Standards and ensuring business alignment that existing SAP ECC data is fit for purpose at the point of migration to S/4 HANA.

Additionally, the role will seek to understand granular data requirements at an operational level and lead the identification of potential enhancements in more detailed data design.

This role is part of the Global functional deployment team covering Operations finance. It supports the relationship between the S/4 Data & Analytics organisation, the EPO organisation, and broader business teams to ensure that the S/4 data design meets business requirements, aligns to SAP standard where possible and that S/4 data can be used with confidence, achieving a Quality Core.

Essential Skills:

• Significant experience within Operations finance subject matter, with a focus on data ( Master Data, Data dimensions/ attributes
• Specific experience of Product Costing, Inventory valuation and the use of Material Ledger (involving Inventory valuation) with related integration with the other associated S4 processes.
• Demonstrated background in financial programme deployment activity
• Demonstrable knowledge of how business data requirements support process execution and analytics, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to business users – and the implementation of best business practices.
• Demonstrable SAP working knowledge across transactions and reporting in an SAP environment, including an understanding of how data integrates within an SAP architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a diverse, global team, within and across functions. Experience with global working and across cultures.
