Job summary

MRP Group in London is seeking a generalist analyst to provide Level 2 SAP FICO and finance-linked operations support within a hybrid work model.

You will triage incidents, coordinate with vendors, support UAT and testing, and maintain SOPs while engaging with UK finance users. The role requires 3+ years in enterprise application support covering SAP FICO, SD, or MM/PP, ITIL knowledge, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of enterprise application support covering SAP FICO, SD (O2C), or MM/PM/PP in finance-linked operations
• Experience in ITSM-driven support (incident, problem, change and release) and working with vendors.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting skills, especially cross-module issues (e.g. SD billing to FI-AR, MM movements to FI postings.
• Strong documentation and testing discipline - Clear communication with both business users and technical vendors DESIRABLE.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or equivalent - SAP Finance or SD certification, and/or ITIL.

Responsibilities

• Provide ITSM-based Level 2 support across incidents, requests, problems, changes and releases.
• Triage tickets, reproduce issues, assess impact, propose workarounds and drive issues to closure.
• Support root-cause analysis to reduce recurring incidents.
• Work with managed service providers and consulting partners, and review their fixes and deliverables before they go live.
• Support UAT, regression testing and post-deployment verification, with clear evidence of testing outcomes.
• Maintain SOPs, test scripts and knowledge articles - Support audit queries with system evidence and traceable records.
• Engage directly with UK finance users and support localised processes.

We're recruiting for a UK-based Finance Centre of Excellence within a large international group. The team provides Level 2 functional support for SAP S/4HANA Finance and finance-linked operational processes.

Location: Hybrid, London 3 days a week onsite

Start: ASAP THE ROLE

You'll work as a generalist analyst, supporting the full finance and operations application scope and cross-covering tickets with the wider team.

Core areas include:

• SAP S/4HANA Finance (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and Controlling), including postings, reconciliations, reporting and period-end close.
• Order-to-Cash (SD and billing into FI).
• Finance-linked operations integration (MM, PM, PP), including inventory valuation, cost allocation and goods movement postings.
• Treasury, bank and payment processes where in scope.
