Job summary

Howden Paint to Order in Thorn e is seeking an experienced Sander to prepare painted components to a high standard, ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for the next production stage. You will join a team in a full-time role, with afternoon/evening shifts and an emphasis on quality and safety.

The role covers sanding, quality checks, keeping the work area clean, and contributing to production targets. Previous sanding, manufacturing or production experience is desirable but not essential;

About the Role

We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Sanders to join the team at Howden Paint to Order.

As a Sander, you will be responsible for preparing painted components to a high standard, ensuring surfaces are smooth, clean and ready for the next stage of production.

Key Responsibilities

• Sanding and preparing painted components to the required standard
• Checking products for quality and ensuring any imperfections are addressed
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area
• Working as part of a team to meet production targets
• Following instructions and production requirements

Working Hours

• Monday-Thursday: 14:30-23:00
• Friday: 14:00-22:00

Pay

• Basic rate: £12.77 per hour
• Unsociable hours allowance: +£0.37 per hour
• Total hourly rate during applicable unsociable hours: £13.14 per hour
