Job summary

Campden BRI in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on lab support assistant to join our analytical testing team. You will handle deliveries, log samples into the LIMS, prepare shipments, and help with lab prep. You will contribute to quality and safety while learning how a real lab operates.

• Receiving deliveries, unpacking samples, and preparing shipments (10%).

• Supporting lab prep or admin tasks depending on skills and interests (20%).
• Helping the Sample Administrator keep workflows smooth and efficient (15%).
• Keeping the workspace clean, safe, and organized (5%).

We offercommercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritionaland health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography, packaging, cereals and ingredients, andwines and spirits

What you’ll be doing

Your day-to-day will include:

• Receiving deliveries, unpacking samples, and preparing shipments (10%)
• Logging samples into our LIMS system and managing storage or subcontracting (40%)
• Supporting lab prep or admin tasks depending on your skills and interests (20%)
• Helping the Sample Administrator keep workflows smooth and efficient (15%)
• Keeping the workspace clean, safe, and organized (5%)

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

• You’re comfortable with physical tasks and manual handling
• You’re digitally savvy and can pick up new systems quickly
• You communicate clearly and work well in a team
• You’re organized and can manage your own workload

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with LIMS or similar systems
• A science qualification (AS-Level Chemistry or higher is a bonus)
• Previous lab or logistics experience
