Job description

We offer commercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography, packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits.

Campden BRI provides analytical chemistry testing to our members and clients, enabling them to ensure their food & drink products are safe for consumers. Our testing services include shelf life, allergens, foreign body identification, packaging, contaminants, vitamins, sugars, and more.

Our Sample Handling Team ensures samples are received, checked in, processed, and passed on to our scientists for testing and analysis.

Position

• Receiving deliveries, unpacking samples, and managing parcel/post shipments. Liaising with couriers.
• Logging samples into LIMS (lab software) and storing them appropriately.
• Performing additional duties as needed, depending on experience (lab-based or administrative).
• Assisting the Sample Administrator to maintain an efficient workflow in the laboratory.
• Supporting sample preparation, including mixing, blending, and preparing food & drink samples for testing.
