Are you an experienced sales / marketing person, with a strong technical mindset and a background in manufacturing or a technically biased wanting to move into a sales position?

We’re looking for a self-motivated, technically-minded sales person to drive growth for a long-established engineering services and manufacturing company. If you’ve sold technical solutions or industrial manufacturing services into OEMs or Tier-1 customers, this is your chance to join a business that combines deep engineering expertise with advanced production capabilities across injection moulding, paint, and assembly.

This is a strategic role focused on identifying, engaging, and securing new business opportunities. You’ll operate with autonomy, supported by a responsive internal team, and be empowered to shape customer relationships and influence the company’s future sales direction. If required, training and development will be offered.

About the Company:

With over 45 years of technical manufacturing excellence, this business is a respected supplier of plastic components and engineered assemblies to OEMs in key sectors including agriculture, automotive, off-road, construction, and medical. Their vertically integrated capabilities span thermoset and thermoplastic injection moulding, post-mould painting & finishing, and final assembly. A business trusted for its commitment to quality, flexibility, and long-term customer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within target sectors through strategic prospecting, networking, and market intelligence.
  • Sell engineering-led manufacturing services, leveraging technical capabilities to solve customer challenges.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with engineering, procurement, and operational stakeholders at OEM and Tier-1 level.
  • Understand customer technical requirements and align them with the in-house production capabilities (tooling, moulding, painting, assembly).
  • Prepare and deliver tailored, costed proposals in collaboration with the technical and commercial teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records using CRM tools, including visit reporting, opportunity tracking, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project onboarding and customer satisfaction.
  • Support marketing initiatives and contribute to sales strategy development.
