Job summary

Capital One Nottingham is seeking an experienced engineering leader to coach and grow an engineering team within a hybrid work model. You will shape delivery strategies and drive scalable patterns across Salesforce, CI/CD, and high availability platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term architectural goals, while championing a culture of learning, inclusion and operational excellence.

• Salesforce Service Cloud Platform, designing, developing, and integrating enterprise software features




• CI/CD solutions at scale, enhancing delivery pipelines and automation to solve enterprise-level challenges




• High availability systems, maintaining platform service, proactive incident response, and permanent problem resolution




• Reusable patterns & standards, ensuring owned solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and highly reliable




• Certifications in Salesforce Administration and Salesforce Platform Developer 1 are essential. A certification in Salesforce Application Architecture is desirable.

• You have demonstrable experience in leading, coaching, and supporting an engineering team to achieve business and personal goals

• You enjoy hybrid working, with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in our bright offices

Where and how you'll work

This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office.

We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You'll spend three days a week in the office (Tuesday‑Thursday), with Monday and Friday being dedicated work‑from‑home days.

Our offices are designed to inspire and support you. At our Nottingham head office, you'll find an on‑site gym, subsidised restaurant, and dedicated Learning Loft.
