Job summary

Magnus James Ltd. in Reading is seeking a Sales Valuer to build relationships with clients and guide vendors from initial contact to market readiness.

You’ll carry out market appraisals for the residential sales team and help shape marketing strategies, delivering a high-quality service that turns opportunities into sales. The role rewards a proactive salesperson with a minimum of 18 months in residential sales, proven valuation experience, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Carry out market appraisals for the residential sales department.
• Provide support and guidance to clients with balanced advice and marketing strategy.
• Follow up on appraisals and continue to build client relationships.
• Stay up to date with market trends, economic factors, and local property values.
• Book and carry out viewings, deliver a great service to purchasers.
• Negotiate sales and handle offers.
• Support colleagues and assist the Manager when needed.

We’re looking for an ambitious, creative and passionate individual to join a leading independent agent as a Sales Valuer at their office in Reading. This agent is very successful in the city and have several well-established offices dotted around Reading and the surrounding area.

As a Sales Valuer, what’s in it for you? £27,000 - £30,000 basic salary - £40,000 OTE (uncapped – the sky is your limit!)

Your role as a Sales Valuer:

• Carry out market appraisals for the residential sales department
• Provide support and guidance to clients, giving balanced advice and delivering an accurate marketing strategy
• Following up on market appraisals and continue to build on client relationships - people buy from people!
• Stay up to date with market trends, economic factors, and property values in the local area
• Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the sales processBook and carry out viewings, delivering a great service to purchasers
• Negotiate sales and handle offers
• Support your colleagues – be the go-to member of staff in the absence of the Manager

What we’re looking for from a Sales Valuer:

• Previous residential sales experience is needed – a minimum of 18 months’ is preferred
• Previous valuation experience is essential, along with demonstratable a conversion rate
• Strong communication & people skills – build lasting relationships!
• A proactive, go-getter attitude – someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment
