Salary: £35k - £40k DOE

Hours: 8am-6pm Mon-Fri, min 3 days office based (inc a Monday or a Friday) after probation/training

Overview

A fast-growing SaaS company is looking for a proactive, B2B-focused Telephone Account Manager / Sales Support to join their busy sales team. This is a hands‑on role managing client accounts, driving adoption, and spotting opportunities to grow revenue.

This is an additional role to strengthen their team due to expansion and offers a great stepping stone to move into an Account Manager based role within 12-18 months.

The Sales Support/Account Manager will have some internal sales experience and will see you working closely with the Business Development Account Managers. You will be responsible for taking the volume requests away from the account managers. You will liaise with the internal support team who deal with all the incoming tickets to produce quotes. These quotes are produced using MS Dynamics CRM System.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of B2B clients via phone and online
  • Understand client needs and demonstrate the value of the software
  • Handle renewals, upselling, and account support
  • Deliver virtual demos and training
  • Keep Microsoft Dynamics CRM records up to date and collaborate across teams running various reports on a daily basis

  • Confident working with local authorities or public sector clients
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Self‑starter with strong ownership and drive
  • Tech‑savvy; knowledge of Microsoft, SharePoint, JIRA, and AWS a bonus

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Support and Account Manager:

  1. Manage and grow a portfolio of existing software clients through regular phone and digital touchpoints
  2. Understand each customer’s business challenges and how their software addresses their needs
  3. Drive product adoption and feature usage through consultative selling and user education
  4. Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities based on client usage patterns and business goals
  5. Handle renewals, ensure on‑time contract execution, and mitigate churn risks proactively
  6. Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries, ensuring swift resolution and satisfaction
  7. Deliver virtual product demos and training sessions to new or expanding clients
  8. Maintain accurate records in the CRM, tracking interactions, feedback, and sales progress
  9. Work closely with marketing, onboarding, and technical support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
