Job summary

CRS Building Supplies, part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group, is seeking an experienced Sales Supervisor to support the branch and drive sales performance. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to develop customer relationships, achieve targets, and manage day-to-day branch operations.

You will lead Trade Counter and Internal Sales teams, focus on new business, and ensure excellent customer service, margin control, and accurate order handling.

Qualifications

• Sales experience within Builders Merchant/Construction Supply environments.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Good commercial awareness and margin management experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive in winning new business and growing customer accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Trade Counter and Internal Sales teams.
• Drive sales growth through proactive customer contact and quotation follow-up.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, tradespeople and key accounts.
• Support the Branch Manager in achieving branch sales and profitability targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.
• Monitor sales performance and branch reporting tools.
• Manage margins and maximise sales opportunities.
• Ensure enquiries, quotations and orders are handled efficiently and accurately.
• Promote excellent customer service across the branch.
