Overview

We are looking for an eager and driven Sales Representative to join our team!

2-5 years established B2B sales experience, ideally within the plumbing, heating, bathroom, building supplies or similar distribution industry.

Experience of selling to Plumbing and Heating Merchants, Bathroom Showrooms, Builders Merchants, Installers, Contractors, Developers and Trade Customers.

Established contacts with independent merchants and national/regional buying groups would definitely be a plus.

Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and surpass sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Experience in new business development including prospecting, cold contacting, customer visits and converting leads to regular accounts.

Experience in account management and building long-term customer relationships.

Good knowledge of plumbing, heating and bathroom goods with knowledge of product applications, specs, pricing and competitive positioning.

Experience selling a variety of products, not just 1 product. Ability to cross sell and up sell complimentary products.

Experience in the preparation and submission of quotations, tenders, price proposals and commercial offers.

Ability to negotiate prices, rebates, discounts, payment conditions and volume agreements maintaining firm margins.

Monitor competition pricing, market developments, client requirements and new product potential.

Experience with sales targets, gross margin targets, sales projections and customer budgets.

Ability to manage a designated sales territory, schedule customer visits and maximise sales possibilities.

Experience in tracking client activity, following up leads, maintaining pipelines and preparing sales reports.

Experience of working closely with internal sales, purchasing, warehouse, logistics and accounts teams to achieve great customer service.

Professional experience in dealing with client complaints, delivery issues, returns & product related concerns.

A strong commercial awareness, comprehension of gross profit, margins, credit control and stock availability.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to go to customer sites on a regular basis.

Experience of working on own initiative, maintaining a sales diary and targeting high value possibilities.

Identify new market sectors and geographical areas for business growth.

Experience in attending trade exhibits, supplier meetings and customer events would be advantageous.
