Please note that this is a maternity cover. The role will be offered as a fixed-term contract for 9 months, starting from 01/12/2025. If, however, you can start earlier we can start the role as a Sales Executive.

What will I be doing?

As Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and positioning the hotel as a market leader. Your focus will be on identifying and securing new business opportunities, with a particular emphasis on the MICE segment, while nurturing existing relationships to generate repeat business. You will be proactive in analysing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives across all revenue streams.

Business Development & MICE Focus

  • Proactively hunt for new business opportunities, especially within the MICE sector, including corporate meetings, conferences, and group events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and travel agencies to drive group bookings and event revenue.
  • Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote the hotel and generate qualified leads.

Market Analysis & Strategy

  • Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
  • Recommend and implement strategies that enhance the hotel’s competitive positioning and revenue performance.
  • Develop and manage customer accounts, travelling within the local area and beyond to secure new business and grow market share.
  • Negotiate room rates, packages, and event contracts with corporate and group clients.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to deliver seamless guest experiences and tailored event solutions.

Reporting & Performance

  • Produce accurate and timely sales reports, including lead generation, appointments, conversion rates, and pipeline updates.
  • Monitor and manage personal performance in line with company policies and KPIs.

Client Engagement

  • Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally, providing expert guidance and solutions.
  • Represent the hotel at UK and international sales events, showcasing its offerings and building brand awareness.
