Job summary

Listers Group Limited is recruiting a Sales Manager for our Toyota Dealership in Stratford-upon-Avon. The role oversees a developing sales team, driving new and used car sales while meeting defined operating and financial targets. Working hours are 8:30am–6pm, Monday to Saturday, with Sundays on a rota and a day off each week.

The role includes leading by example, achieving KPI targets, and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction, with benefits including a company car and an OTE of £68,000.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering results and customer satisfaction.
• Strong management and leadership skills.
• Experience in motor trade or automotive dealership preferred.

Responsibilities

• You will build trust, communicate effectively and exceed our customers expectations; in essence you will ensure that our customers buying experience is industry leading.
• Support the sales team in daily operations including customer contact, sales funnel management, deal building and closing, professional vehicle preparation and stock control.
• Drive the sales process and support the sales team in achieving monthly KPI’s for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration and add-on products.
• Accurately complete all paperwork and provide reports on all sales activities ensuring accurate sales forecasts.
• Ensure that the sales team collects all customer contact and vehicle data in order to maximise the quality and content of the customer database while adhering to FCA obligations.

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to join the management team at our Toyota Dealership in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The hours of work are between 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, with a day off in the week and working Sundays on a rota basis.

Benefits include the use of a company car and an OTE of £68,000.

The successful individual will possess a positive, hands‑on approach, with the ability to lead and motivate a developing sales team. You will be expected to achieve agreed sales targets for new and used cars, within defined operating and financial guidelines.

Role and Responsibilities

• You will build trust, communicate effectively and exceed our customers expectations; in essence you will ensure that our customers buying experience is industry leading. You will also be accountable for handling customer queries and complaints and ensuring that they are resolved effectively.
• Support the sales team in daily operations including but not limited to customer contact, sales funnel management, deal building and closing, professional vehicle preparation whilst ensuring that stock is kept to the company’s agreed levels.
• Drive the sales process and support the sales team in achieving their monthly KPI’s for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration and add‑on products, to ensure budgetary sales / profit forecasts are achieved.
• Accurately complete all paperwork and provide reports on all sales activities ensuring accurate sales forecasts.
• Ensure that the sales team accurately and vigorously collect all customer contact and vehicle data in order to maximise the quality and content of the customer database (adhering to the Company’s FCA obligations).

About you

• May be an existing sales manager, sales controller or retail manager looking for a new challenge or better career and reward opportunities.
• Have the drive and talent to push the department forward; working to achieve agreed KPI’s and brand standards.
• Must be able demonstrate a profitable and successful track record of delivering outstanding results as well as delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Also need to have strong management and leadership skills, winning mentality and a real passion for the brand.
• Motor trade, automotive or car dealership experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
