The successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence for the company around sales, rental, and service organization.
Sales Manager Job Overview
- Develop and implement effective strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base, identify, evaluate, and target potential clients and market segments in the industry.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing ongoing support and maintaining long-term partnerships.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, highlighting the features and benefits of our products.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets for crane rentals and services.
- Negotiate pricing and contractual terms with clients, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry developments, identifying potential threats and opportunities.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate pricing, invoicing, and timely collection of payments.
Sales Manager Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of crane hire or plant hire experience is essential.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within construction or related industries.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Analytical skills to gather market intelligence and identify business opportunities.
- Lift planning experience or Appointed Person credentials are beneficial.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
