James Cropper PLC in Kendal is seeking a Sales & Logistics Coordinator to keep customers, sales teams and the supply chain connected across UK and international markets.

You will coordinate customer orders from initial processing through to final delivery, working with freight partners and internal teams. This role focuses on efficient order progression, timely updates, problem solving and delivering exceptional service to maximise profitable sales.

Qualifications

• Experience within sales coordination, customer operations, logistics or supply chain, ideally within manufacturing, materials or a technical environment.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of tasks through to completion.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues and external partners.
• A proactive, solutions focused approach to resolving problems.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge and practical understanding of HMRC requirements and export guidelines would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Co-ordinate UK and export shipments, working closely with freight forwarders to ensure smooth delivery.
• Process, track and manage customer orders and samples, including contract reviews.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support demand forecasting and stock management.
• Track shipments and manage delays or delivery challenges proactively.
• Build relationships with logistics and freight partners to support cost-effective transport.
• Keep customers and stakeholders updated on order progress and delivery timelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, service levels and the customer experience.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Sales & Logistics Coordinator to play a key role in keeping our customers, sales teams and supply chain connected.

Sitting at the heart of our sales and logistics operation, you’ll coordinate customer orders from initial processing through to final delivery, working closely with internal teams, freight partners and customers across UK and international markets.

It’s a varied role where organisation, communication and problem-solving are essential. You’ll help ensure orders move efficiently, customers stay informed and potential issues are resolved quickly, all while supporting the business to deliver exceptional service and maximise profitable sales.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Providing accurate and timely information to internal and external customers.
• Coordinating UK and export shipments, working closely with freight forwarders to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.
• Processing and tracking customer orders and samples, completing contract reviews and resolving queries or issues.
• Working collaboratively with internal teams to support demand forecasting and effective stock management.
• Tracking shipments and proactively managing delays, changes or delivery challenges.
• Building strong relationships with logistics and freight partners to support cost-effective and reliable transportation.
• Keeping customers and key stakeholders updated on order progress and delivery timelines.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, service levels and the overall customer experience.
