Job summary

Epwin Group seeks a Sales Graduate to develop a broad understanding of products, customers, markets and commercial processes through hands-on involvement across all sales functions.

The role supports new business generation, CRM-driven customer service, quotation management and account development across construction, housebuilding, merchant and manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

  • Graduate calibre, ideally a degree in Business/related discipline.
  • Strong interest in sales, customer engagement, business development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident in speaking with customers and building professional relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks.
  • Commercial awareness and willingness to learn about construction/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across markets.
  • Generate and qualify sales leads via outbound calls, email, networking, and research.
  • Build relationships with customers, merchants, contractors, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and issue quotations within agreed timescales.
  • Chase quotations to maximise conversion rates and secure orders.
  • Monitor opportunities in the CRM and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Handle customer enquiries by telephone, email, and digital channels.
  • Provide exceptional service and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support account management by maintaining contact with existing customers.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Technical, Production, Planning, and Customer Services.
  • Assist in sales reports, pipeline updates, forecasts, and business plans.
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, and trade exhibitions.
  • Develop knowledge of Epwin products, processes, and market sectors.
  • Support pricing, margin management, and commercial decisions.
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets, revenue growth, and retention goals.
  • Identify market trends and communicate findings to the commercial team.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, health and safety, and quality standards.

Job description

The Sales Graduate will develop a comprehensive understanding of Stormking GRP's products, customers, markets, and commercial processes through hands‑on involvement across all aspects of the sales function. The role is designed to provide a structured development pathway into a future sales, account management, or business development position.

The successful candidate will support new business generation, customer relationship management, quotation management, account development, and customer service activities, helping to drive sales growth while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The role offers exposure to customers across the construction, housebuilding, merchant, and manufacturing sectors.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Support the sales team in identifying and developing new business opportunities across existing and target markets.
  • Generate and qualify sales leads through proactive outbound calling, email campaigns, networking, and market research.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, merchants, contractors, developers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and issue quotations accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Proactively chase quotations to maximise conversion rates and secure new orders.
  • Monitor sales opportunities through the CRM system and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Manage customer enquiries via telephone, email, and digital channels, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Support account management activities by maintaining regular contact with existing customers and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with internal departments including Operations, Technical, Production, Planning, and Customer Services to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales reports, pipeline updates, forecasts, and business development plans.
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, trade exhibitions, and networking events when required.
  • Develop detailed knowledge of Stormking GRP products, manufacturing processes, and market sectors.
  • Support pricing, margin management, and commercial decision‑making processes.
  • Contribute to achieving departmental sales targets, revenue growth, and customer retention objectives.
  • Identify market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements and communicate findings to the wider commercial team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and quality standards.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
  • Graduate calibre, ideally educated to degree level in Business, Commercial Management, Marketing, Sales, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in sales, customer engagement, business development, and commercial operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence in speaking with customers and building professional relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Previous experience in a customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or commercial environment.
  • Knowledge or interest in the construction, manufacturing, or building products sector.
  • Understanding of account management and business development principles.
  • Full UK driving licence.
