About the role

As a Sales Engineer, you will be a key member of the Dataminr Public Sector sales team, acting as a trusted advisor to Account Executives, the Product team, and our customers across Europe. You will serve as a security-focused technical liaison and subject matter expert, developing compelling stories to excite customers. This role is fully remote with up to 30% travel.

Key responsibilities
  1. Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to assess cybersecurity needs and design solutions integrating Dataminr data with SIEM, SOAR, or TIP platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Cortex XSOAR).
  2. Physical Security Solutions: Design solutions integrating our data with customer platforms for physical security needs.
  3. Product Demonstrations: Conduct live, recorded, and in-person demos showcasing how our solutions enhance detection and response efforts.
  4. Proof of Concepts: Lead customer POCs to demonstrate the business impact of Dataminr products.
  5. Training & Enablement: Provide training for sales staff and clients on best practices and platform usage.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to new features.
  7. Mentoring: Guide new team members in sales processes and relationship management.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of technical experience in roles such as Sales/Solutions/Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or Security Engineer.
  • Experience in customer product assessments, managing expectations, and complex systems.
  • Knowledge of data integration and third-party solutions.
  • Experience in Enterprise or Cloud Security, including SaaS platforms and cybersecurity domains.
  • Ability to present to technical teams and executives.
  • Certifications like CISSP, CEH, OSCP, SANS are a plus.
